My blogging has suffered these past 2 years as so many things have cut across my time and yet, as many would say you just need to be disciplined and do some every day.... easier said than done!!! This year I feel I must try to be disciplined and see what happens.

From my last blog...time was spent moving in with my daughter, I sold my antiques,  most my furniture; including my much loved car, gave up my job and decided to go for gold....... I took an amazing 6 months sabbatical with my sons in the UK  and have not looked back!

I finally found myself and decided it's me time! I listened often to Alicia Keys - A Brand New Me!

My education increased a 100 fold! I painted, made jewellery, did a little leather work and yoga; danced and laughed until I thought I would fall over - I even grew my hair! Expanded my palette - lots of wonderful food and wine - although I ate healthy and lost weight! We ran around England, Wales and even got to take a week's trip to Turkey with a dear friend who was looking to buy a 2nd hand yacht to retire on! My special love was the marinas  (found out that about myself) - that maybe some day I could sail and live in a marina - the tinkling sound of the mast lines and the gentle swaying of the boat. Dreaming..........

While I was there I won a weeks trip for two, to Mauritius with R5000.00 spending money but unfortunately had to give it to my daughter and grand daughter; as it had a specific date attached to it - they had an awesome time; but not half as much as I did!

Another awesome highlight - I was there for the birth of my first great grand son; Mason Eric! I held Lisa's hand and rubbed her back the whole time she was in labour, making sure she breathed - hehehe - and got to hold Mason 15 minutes after he was born.

After breathing 6 months pure fresh air and walking around the country lanes, I arrived back in South Africa into the loving arms of my daughter, who had missed me so much. She threatened me never to leave for so long again, lol, but I left a piece of my heart there and do need to go back - often! (I miss my sons, beautiful daughters-in-law and my grand children so much).

Settling down again has been a little tough, although I have now found a wonderful small church where I am involved and see great ministry opportunities for the future.

We spent Christmas and New Year at Ponta Do Oura, Mozambique in a little reed hut on the beach - bliss!

2015 has started with a bang - I am teaching little children in the mornings, at the school where my daughter works and take the Grade 4's homework class in the afternoons, then aftercare until the parents arrive to fetch them.

When I left the UK, I made a long list of all that I want to do and have managed to only tick a few things off my list, but with God's grace I am getting there.

A leap of faith has given me many adventures- most I never dreamt possible!

Dare to be yourself, there is nothing better to be!

I am so glad to be back blogging. Have a wonderful weekend.
